This sweet-smelling, sweet tasting annual herb is grown for it's
licorice scented and flavored seeds and leaves. Use the aromatic seeds in potpourri and
sachet blends. Also add to cheese, fruit salads, apple sauce, and soups. Delicious
in breads, cakes, cookies, and biscuits. The sweetly flavored leaves
can be used sparingly in garden salads, over cooked vegetables, or as a garnish.
When / Where to Plant:
Select a sunny location and plant outdoors in well drained soil after last frost.
Cultivate and enrich soil. Firm soil over seed. Avoid transplanting.

Care:
Keep soil moist and control weeds.
Harvesting:
Harvest seeds when gray-green. Cut stems, wash, and spread to dry in
warm, dark, well ventilated place. To remove seed, rub between hands.
Store in air tight container. Leaves may be harvested at any time.
