CATNIP Annual Herb  BUY CATNIP SEED

This perennial is famous for the way it delights cats, attracts the birds and bees, and flavors tea.  Leaf aroma makes cats kittenish and playful.  Plants grow 2-3 feet (61-91cm.) tall with attractive pale-pink or white flower-spikes.

When / Where to Plant:
Select location with sun or partial shade and sow seed in the fall or spring as soon as the ground can be worked.  Prefers well drained soil.  Cultivate soil and enrich with vegetable food.  Firm soil over seed.

Care:
Prefers moderate moisture.  Pinch plants back when flower buds appear to increase harvest period.

Harvesting:
Cut top leaves and flowers and dry.  Store in air tight container.
