OREGANO Garden Herb  BUY OREGANO SEED

Popular and attractive shrub-like perennial.    Grown for it's flavorful leaves.  Leaves may be used fresh or dried to add spark to Italian, Spanish and Mexican dishes as well as salad dressing, meat loaf, stew, lamb and steaks. Grows 2-2&1/2'(61-76 cm.) tall.

When / Where to Plant:
Select sunny location and sow seed after all danger of frost has past.  Cultivate soil and enrich with vegetable food.  Grows well in containers, indoors and out.  For earlier harvest start seeds indoors.  Firm soil over seed.

Care:
Responds well to trimming.  Pinch tops to encourage branching.

Harvesting:
Flavor is best before plant blooms.  Pick leaves as needed and use fresh or dry.  Leaves may be frozen.
