THYME Garden Herb  BUY THYME SEED

Extremely popular perennial.    Leaves have a strong, clove like smell and flavor.  They are excellent fresh or dry, with chowders, sauces, seafood dishes, stuffing, soups, meat and poultry.  Grows 6-12" (15-30 cm) tall.

When / Where to Plant:
Select sunny location with well drained soil and sow seeds after last frost.  Cultivate soil and lightly enrich with vegetable food.  For earlier harvest, start seeds indoors. Firm soil over seed.

CARE:
Keep clipped to encourage bushy growth.  Do not over water.

Harvesting:
Flavor is best before the plant blooms.  Pick leaves as needed and use fresh or dry.  Leaves may be frozen.
